This course is divided into the following sections:

Start Here—which you are currently reading, is designed to help you become familiar with the course and its many features.

Do You Know What You Don't Know?—is a pretest designed to let you determine your degree of readiness to take this course.

Lesson 1 "How Important Is the Contract?"—illustrates how the nearly 52,000 members of the Public Employees Federation (PEF) are directly affected by the Professional, Scientific and Technical Services Unit (PS&T) contract.

Lesson 2 "Understanding Contract Language"—explains what occurs when a contract is negotiated, and examines what must happen before a final agreement can be reached.

Lesson 3 "How Do We Enforce the Contract and Our Rights?"—explores some of the ways to resolve disputes concerning the interpretation of contract language and whether or not the contract has been violated.

Lesson 4 "How it Works in the Real World"—consists of five case studies that will challenge your skill in interpreting and applying the contract to situations taken from real life.

What Have You Learned?—is a posttest designed to let you see how well you achieved the objectives of the course.
