Improper Practice
A charge that claims a violation of the Taylor Law is known as an “Improper Practice” (IP) and is considered a serious matter for all concerned. IPs are heard before administrative law judges and are appealable to the full Public Employment Relations Board (PERB).
Final PERB decisions are enforceable in court under New York CPLR Article 78.
