Mandatory Subjects of Negotiation
During negotiations, however, there are mandatory subjects of bargaining that the State, as the employer, must address. These include such things as:
- employee organizational (union) rights
- compensation
- travel
- health insurance
- leave
- grievance procedure
- discipline and discharge
