Ambiguity

Question marksAmbiguity can be defined as anytime language is susceptible to more than one meaning.

For example, if the contract is “silent” it can open the door to further discussion/agreements or even to interpretation through arbitration.

The degree of clarity in contract language should always reflect the intent of the parties, with the understanding that any lack of specificity may or may not be intentional.
