Role of the Union Steward

The role of union steward is one of the most challenging yet most rewarding jobs in PEF. The steward is charged with providing the best possible representation for our members.

You are the first person our members come to with questions and problems. You may also be the first person approached by management for the same reasons. Therefore, you must be thoroughly familiar with the contract, the duties of the steward, and other relevant union policies.
