Putting a Face on the Union

Your effectiveness as a steward depends on how well you develop your relationship with others in the workplace. The members of PEF are a diverse group of professionals and it's possible that you may be the only union representative that some of them ever actually meet. Consequently, you put a face on the union–your attitudes and actions have a lot of influence on how the members perceive the union.

By demonstrating a genuine concern for each member’s well-being at work, you will develop their trust in you and build strength in the union.
