Introduction to Lesson 4

This lesson–How it Works in the Real World–consists of five case studies that will challenge your skill in understanding and applying the contract to situations taken from real life.

By now you are well on your way to addressing situations that involve our members in the workplace. As a steward, you will be approached by our members and asked to explain the contract as it pertains to their benefits and rights, and how these are enforced. Your PEF Field Representative is always available to you as a resource for understanding the contract. PEF strongly encourages you to contact your field representative with your questions.

You should not proceed unless you have achieved some degree of comfort with the information already presented in this course. Go back to the previous lessons if you feel you have not yet mastered them.
