Representation
PEF is a union that is member-driven: members decide what kinds of issues the union will take on, what kinds of issues our lobbyists will talk to our legislators about, and which members in our union will serve in positions of leadership. Our union officers and stewards are democratically elected by the people they represent.
In the Public Employees Federation (PEF), one steward may be elected for every 50 employees in any work area.
