Summary Lesson 1 / Preview Lesson 2
In Lesson One, you were introduced to “steward training” through the story of Jim and Peter. You also learned that any member of PEF can serve as a steward, and that stewards have special characteristics and competencies. The election of stewards, and whom stewards represent were covered in the next sections, and the rewards of stewardship were reviewed. Finally, the story of Carla Villanueva highlighted many of the positive skills and personality traits that characterize an effective union steward.
Lesson Two focuses on some of the more specific dimensions of a steward’s most critical tools: communications and leadership.
