Case Study (Part 1 of 6)

Ever since she’d read in the union newsletter about two nurses who were held up at gunpoint in Brooklyn, Sharon Corcoran had grown increasingly wary when she was working, even though her small Correctional Facility was a long way from the big city. But still, she found herself feeling more and more anxious when Mark Montana, her supervisor, assigned her to work with him on the night shift. His office wasn’t near the infirmary, and late at night, the long, dimly corridors made her nervous. A few times she even considered feigning a bad cold to avoid having to come in and work through the lonely night. She just didn’t feel safe, but approaching Montana didn’t seem feasible; he had a reputation for being gruff and dismissive.
