Summary Lesson 2 / Preview Lesson 3
In Lesson Two, the story of George, "The Card Player," illustrated the adjustment a newly elected steward must sometimes make. You were introduced to the principles that underlie strong leadership. The story of Kate and Sharon demonstrated how the use of active listening skills worked to draw out what was really on Sharon’s mind, and Kate’s patient conversation helped Sharon identify her own problem-solving strategies. The assessment allowed you to practice your active listening skills.
Lesson Three introduces ideas about workers' rights, work rules, and other tasks that stewards might encounter "on the job."
