Purpose of Labor/Management Meetings
Labor/Management meetings are excellent opportunities to share information and work out problems, complaints, concerns and issues before they escalate into grievances. The goal of these meetings is to address problems "of mutual concern" before they become unmanageable or unresolvable.
Labor/Management committees meet regularly to address particular issues such as office layout or the application of benefits negotiated under the contract such as vacation scheduling. The regular meetings are great for improving and supporting a work atmosphere of open dialogue, collaboration, and proactive problem solving.
