In this lesson, you were introduced to the idea of advocacy and how stewards are called upon to stand up for workers’ rights. The story of Mark McGuire was used to preview the information regarding the rights of workers to have a union representative present during an interrogation. Additional topics included explaining work rules and the contract.

Finally, the case study story of Ed Koslowski encouraged you to identify problems and their possible solutions.
